About Me - Tashi
Hello! I'm Tashi 👋
Welcome to Sharing Chishiki! I'm Tashi, an IT System Engineer based in Japan with over 11 years of experience navigating the complex world of technology. If you're a foreigner living in Japan or planning to make this beautiful country your home, you've come to the right place.
My Journey 🚀
My career in Information Technology has taken me through diverse and exciting domains:
- ☁️ Cloud Infrastructure - Designing and managing scalable cloud solutions
- 🌐 Network Engineering - Building robust and secure network architectures
- 🖥️ Server Systems - Administering critical server environments
- 🔒 Cybersecurity - Protecting digital assets and ensuring information security
Over the past 11 years, I've worn many hats in the IT field, solving complex technical challenges and implementing solutions that make businesses run smoothly. From troubleshooting network issues at 3 AM to architecting cloud migrations, I've experienced the full spectrum of IT operations.
Why I Created Sharing Chishiki 💡
Living in Japan as a foreigner comes with unique challenges that locals might never understand. Language barriers, cultural differences, confusing bureaucracy, complicated utility bills, unfamiliar systems – I've been there, struggled through it, and learned valuable lessons along the way.
Sharing Chishiki (知識 means "knowledge" in Japanese) was born from a simple realization: the knowledge I've gained shouldn't stay with me alone.
The Mission 🎯
My goal is straightforward – to help expats and foreigners living in or coming to Japan by:
- 🔧 Providing practical tools that simplify daily life in Japan
- 📚 Sharing insider knowledge about navigating Japanese systems
- 💡 Creating resources that bridge the gap between you and Japanese services
- 🤝 Building a supportive community where expats can learn and grow
Whether you're trying to understand your electricity bill, looking for the best internet provider, searching for useful apps, or need help with Japanese bureaucracy – I'm here to make your life easier.

My 11 years in IT have taught me that the best solutions come from collaboration and shared experience. This blog embodies that philosophy: one expat helping another, one solution at a time.
